Comment spam
Whoa. I totally got hit with some comment spam today. 13 comments with a link to some poker website.
So I’d like to take this opportunity to give some props to WordPress‘s comment handling. It took me less than 20 seconds to delete them all.
Amazing. And poker-dude, I’ve got my eye on you…

I got comment spam as well on my blog as well. You just have to rename wp-comments-post.php to something like stopspam-post.php and edit the index.php template and look for any instance of wp-comments-post.php and replace it with whatever you typed (in this case, stopspam-post.php). Of course, this won’t stop the occasional joker that enters his spam manually, but at least this will stop the automated crap.

I get tons of comment spam. Usually 5 or 10 each day, though one day I got several dozen. The one feature I wish WordPress had (well, the one comment spam-related feature) is a big “DELETE ALL” button on the “Awaiting Moderation” page.

I’ve been getting tons of comment spam on too. Fortunetly, I’ve come up with a clever way to deal with it. I love blogging Hemingway style.
